Princess Anne carries her own bags off the flight as she touches down in Sri Lanka

Princess Royal has arrived in Sri Lanka for a three-day tour celebrating Britain’s ties to the South Asia island.

She joined her husband, vice admiral Sir Timothy Lawrence, for the tour. The princess will begin a Whistle Stop tour to mark the UK’s bilateral relationship with Sri Lanka.

She will meet with President Ronald Wicker MinGa and first lady Mather Paa Sasena. The royal family will engage with local communities and religious groups in Columbo, the Central City of Candy, and Jaffna.

The princess has been dubbed the king’s right-hand woman due to her brother’s support and is known as one of the hardest working Royals in Charles’s thin monarchy.
