Grand Harold sheds light on issues facing royal family amid renewed Prince Andrew scandal
A former royal family butler has said they are no different from any other family, stressing that perspective amid ongoing turmoil within the British monarchy.
Their reputations have taken a major hit following recent legal documents publicly linking Prince Andrew and others to Jeffrey Epstein.
Speaking on the matter, Grant Harold, the royal family’s former butler, portrayed the royals as a family that experiences conflicts and challenges just like any other.
He told GB News that the royal family is “like any other family” who row in and fall out, adding that the “trials and trials” the family has faced in recent years are “like all of us”.
“During Queen Elizabeth’s reign, it was pretty safe, it was stable,” he shared. “It was a close-knit family and in the last two years it has literally fallen apart.”
“It’s just like all of us who go through different trials and tribulations within a family. But when it’s the royal family, and there are a few people out there, as we know, who don’t want a royal family, it just adds to the cause.”
He went on to predict that the future under Charles’ reign could see a “weakened monarchy”, claiming he “wants to show a united front”.
