To support efforts to reduce the impact of opioid use disorder in Kentucky, researchers from the University of Kentucky are developing a novel statewide surveillance system. Data from federal, state, and local sources will be used by the Rapid Actionable Data for Opioid Response in Kentucky (RADOR-KY) to direct evidence-based strategies aimed at avoiding opioid overdoses in the Commonwealth. A three-year $3.1 million grant from the National Institute on Drug Addiction will fund phase one of the research (NIDA).
