Since joining the Panthers from the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2005, Drummond has served the team in a variety of capacities. Before being elevated to director of communications in 2015 and in charge of all media and communications for the Panthers during Super Bowl 50, Carolina employed him as an assistant director of communications.
In 2017, Drummond acquired responsibilities for broadcast and digital media, making the Panthers one of the NFL’s top social and digital media brands. He was made Vice President of Communications and External Affairs by the group a year later. Since 2021, he has served as the vice president of football operations.
“With the changes this offseason, this seemed like a good time to move on to other interests,” Drummond said in a statement released to the public. Before beginning his NFL career, Drummond, who grew up in Rock Hill, SC, interning with the team’s equipment staff during his high school days.
