CEO Joey Berlin has personally removed Megan Markle from the Critics Choice Awards list, citing his disdain for her controversial documentary Harry Megan.
The documentary, which chronicles the couple’s journey from the Royal Wedding in 2018 to their move to California in 2020, features candid interviews with Markle and Prince Harry.
Critics have accused the couple of exploiting their personal problems for sympathy and profit, as well as tarnishing the reputation and image of the Royal Family.
Berlin’s decision to ban Megan from the awards has sparked outrage among some members of the Critics Association, who accuse them of abuse authorities and violating the organization’s rules and ethics.
They argue that Megan Markle and her documentary deserve to be treated fairly and objectively, and that Berlin’s personal views should not interfere with the voting process or invitation policy.
Berlin has refused to back down or apologize for his decision, and has the support and approval of the majority of the critics Association and the sponsors of the Festival Network.
He has dismissed the possibility of any legal action or consequences from Megan Markle and her team and has the law on his side to decide who attends and wins the Critics Choice Awards.
The Chris Choice Awards are expected to be a night of glitz, excitement, drama, and conflict, with Megan Markle and Prince Harry expected to respond to Berlin’s statement and banning order.
