In a heartrending incident, an innocent pup was cruelly abused and painted green in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia.
The strong and putrid odors of the green paint left the abandoned animal in frail health, starving with no one to provide sustenance or companionship.
Thankfully, Shazreen Othuman spotted the pup and decided to take action in order to alleviate his suffering.
Othuman’s posts on social media spread the word of the mistreated pooch and he hoped that, with public knowledge of his suffering, someone would be able to provide assistance.
The heartbreaking story of the stray cat stirred feelings of sorrow and indignation among animal rights groups.
The pup was saved from life on the streets and welcomed into a caring home of his own. A dedicated volunteer gave him a much-needed bath, erasing all traces of paint that had once adorned his fur.
By sheer luck, the pup was rescued in time from an almost fatal paint poisoning. Though yet to be identified or apprehended, these heartless criminals may pay up to three years of imprisonment if caught.
It’s only a matter of time before these criminals are brought to justice for their misconduct.
We are immensely relieved and thankful that our pup was able to receive the assistance it required, and we are humbled by those who selflessly help animals in need.
