Prince Harry’s Ambitious Plans: Interviews with Putin and Zuckerberg on Childhood Traumas for Spotify Podcast

In a captivating twist of events, it has recently come to light that Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex, had ambitious plans to interview prominent global figures such as Vladimir Putin, Donald Trump, and Mark Zuckerberg for a proposed Spotify podcast.

The focus of these discussions would have revolved around their upbringing and childhood traumas, as Prince Harry envisioned delving into their formative years to understand the journeys that led them to their influential positions today.

According to Bloomberg, Prince Harry also expressed interest in discussing religion with Pope Francis, leaving executives somewhat bewildered.

This revelation follows the news of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex having their multi-million-dollar Spotify deal canceled. In a joint statement released last Thursday, Spotify and the Sussexes’ audio production company, Archewell Audio, announced their mutual decision to part ways.

It has been a tumultuous week for the couple, with Meghan Markle facing accusations of fabricating interviews and Spotify executive Bill Simmons branding the Sussexes as grifters. Amidst these controversies, Prince Harry’s ambitious podcast ideas have come to light.

Insider sources suggest that Prince Harry, who is reportedly moving away from critical “tell-all” interviews about the royal family as he and Meghan feel they have said enough, had additional ideas for a show focusing on fatherhood. Furthermore, he proposed a series centered around societal issues, ranging from climate change to religion, expressing a desire to secure an interview with Pope Francis for the latter.

However, the feasibility of securing renowned guests like Putin and Zuckerberg raised eyebrows within Prince Harry’s podcast team. Notably, public figures of their stature are generally not forthcoming about their personal experiences and childhood traumas. Unfortunately, none of Prince Harry’s ambitious podcast ideas were realized during the Sussexes’ three-year agreement with Spotify, which recently concluded.

In addition to Prince Harry’s podcast ventures, the Duchess of Sussex’s podcast, “Archewell Audio Presents: Archewell Archetypes,” which explores labels that hold women back, was also dropped as Spotify revamps its content strategy.

The Sussexes’ deal with Spotify, signed in late 2020 and reported to be worth approximately $25 million, aimed to position them as hosts and producers of podcasts, allowing them to showcase their storytelling abilities and share impactful narratives with a global audience.

Reflecting on her experience with “Archewell Archetypes,” Meghan expressed her passion for the project on the couple’s Archewell website, stating, “I love digging my hands into the process, sitting up late at night in bed working on the writing and creative aspects, and I love digging deep into meaningful conversations with my diverse and inspiring guests, laughing and learning with them. It has been such a labor of love.”
