This is How You Prevent Sneaky Gas Station ‘Slider’ Robbery

According to multiple reports, a new type of crime trend has been on the rise lately. It consists of individuals stealing women’s purses from their vehicles at gas stations. Watch the video below to see how the police say you can avoid it happening to you.

The next time you are at a gas station, be sure to pay attention to “sliders”. A “slider” pulls up next to your parked car at a gas pump and then steals your belongings by sliding through the passenger side door. Then they speed off before you can even react.

According to Houston Police Department Officer Jim Wood, most victims don’t realize they have been robbed until after the culprit has already fled the scene. Some “sliders” are apprehended, but most are never caught. This leaves women as an easy target for future culprits. The video below tells you how you can protect yourself from these slider attacks.
