Woman Leaves Her Dog In A Cage Next To The Dumpsters Forever

In the quiet corners of Screven County, Georgia, a heartbreaking scene unfolded at a local trash collection site. A woman was caught red-handed, cruelly abandoning her pet dog by the dumpsters. In a chilling video clip, she’s seen arriving in her truck, casually unloading a crate with the terrified little animal inside, and heartlessly driving off, leaving the pet behind.

The Screven County Animal Control didn’t take this lightly. They promptly contacted the Screven County Sheriff’s Office for help identifying the woman behind this act. The diligent pursuit led them to Jacquelyn Symone Roberts, a 30-year-old resident of Sylvania, Georgia.

Roberts faced immediate legal repercussions for her actions. She was arrested and slapped with charges of Animal Cruelty and Abandoning a Domesticated Animal. However, she was later released on bond, awaiting further court proceedings.

The abandoned dog received a lifeline from the Screven County Sheriff’s Office. They assured the dog was safe and well-cared for as they sought a loving forever home for the innocent creature.

Sheriff Mike Kile took this opportunity to remind people about the importance of responsible pet ownership. He stressed that abandoning a pet is never an acceptable action.

Kile was baffled at Roberts’ actions to WTOC, saying, “She had options available that she didn’t take any of them…She just wouldn’t take them. Why? Lord only knows.”
